The Recruiter works as a member of the Human Resources Department and the focus is on successful full cycle recruiting. The individual in this position must have demonstrated the ability to successfully recruit a wide variety of types and levels of positions, maintain confidentiality, display a professional demeanor, represent LDC appropriately, be able to adapt to competing demands, and to use sound judgment.

  • Represent LDC in a positive professional manner
  • Develop candidate attraction and sourcing strategies
  • Develop, influence and execute sourcing strategy for passive and active candidates
  • Post openings on effective job sites, colleges, professional associations, etc.
  • Pro-actively search for passive candidates
  • Reach out to college Department heads and other sources to establish solid working relationships and networks
  • Maintain pipeline of qualified candidates to deliver against immediate priorities
  • Review resumes and select potential candidates
  • Phone screen candidates
  • Select candidates to recommend moving forward
  • Conduct reference and background checks
  • Coordinate profile survey, if applicable
  • Present resume, supporting documentation and summary of recommendation
  • Upon Management approval, create job offer documents

Requirements

  • An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources helpful, but not required
  • Minimum 2 years full cycle Recruiter experience
  • Experience working in a professional services firm or construction field helpful
  • Solid written and oral communications
  • Customer service and phone communication skills
  • Strong organization, attention to detail, cultural awareness, interpersonal, time management, follow through and problem solving skills
  • Understand, articulate, and sell LDC’s offerings, culture, and business initiatives
  • Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies
  • Intermediate skills with workings of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision
  • Possess the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Self-motivated, hardworking, highly ethical, and dependable
  • Possess excellent rapport with management and co-workers, positive can-do attitude, excellent customer service, marketing and people skills
  • Excellent stress management and time management skills
  • Ability to work discretely with sensitive and confidential information
