LDC served as the project engineer for the design and construction of a new multi-level parking garage and surface area expansion for Performance Kia in Everett. In addition to designing the parking structure footprint and multi-level finished grades, LDC also designed frontage improvements which included pedestrian-oriented amenities and Low Impact Design bioretention features for water quality treatment. LDC designed and value engineered the expansion to provide functional and compliant designs while minimizing stormwater mitigation and retro-fit liabilities.

Going Above the Standard

As a multidisciplinary firm, LDC was able to bring its in-house planning and engineering expertise to the project by coordinating with sub-consultants, working with the client through the permit process, and meeting special design requirements, including pedestrian-oriented frontage street improvements and low impact development standards. LDC successfully completed this project on a tight deadline with a 3-month approval schedule.
