This last April, LDC Inc. sponsored a fun team-building event for the civil and planning groups at Arena Sports in Mill Creek, WA. This venue, which just opened for business a few months ago, was an extra special trip for our team as most of us at LDC Inc. have shared a part, in one way or another, in the development of this massive 98,000 square-foot family recreation facility. Residents of the cities of Mill Creek, Bothell, Lynnwood, Woodinville, and Everett had long awaited a center, other than a theater, that would capture the imagination of all ages and provide family entertainment year-round.
Our team had a fantastic time watching our project go from concept to design and permitting through construction, ultimately creating a facility we could enjoy as customers. As lead consultant, LDC Inc. provided Civil Engineering, Land Planning, Land Surveying, and project management support. This ginormous facility not only includes laser tag and bowling, but there are also three indoor soccer fields, an arcade, an inflatable fun zone, and a café.
Our team enjoyed a little competitive play with indoor laser tag and hitting the brand new lanes with our bowling shoes on. Later that evening, we enjoyed dinner together at the café and shared some of our specific experience on the project with one another with a sense pride and excitement about what we do for a living.
