LDC, in conjunction with the Livable City Year Program at the University of Washington, assisted the City of Sultan to complete an analysis of City development regulations. The two teams worked seamlessly to determine where there were inconsistencies, needed improvements, and then develop recommendations for code and development standards updates to ensure future land use development is consistent with the City’s goals, policies and overall character of the community.

Going Above the Standard

During the project, the LDC project manager mentored a UW student, guiding them throughout the project. Ongoing communication with both City staff and the student ensured that recommendations met the expectations of staff and elected officials. Ultimately, the project was a success and LDC was able to meet all project deadlines.
