As part of the expanding public transportation initiative, the Central Puget Sound Regional Transit Authority is investing over $53 billion into providing new light rail routes along I-405 and I-5. To provide the necessary easements for the new Link light rails, existing infrastructure needs to be relocated. Part of this relocation included four monopoles for wireless carriers at a park & ride along I-405 near Bellevue. A new site for the towers had to be procured, designed, permitted, and built. LDC led the planning, design, leasing, permitting, structural and civil engineering to get full approval for the build of this multi-carrier site. Our design included consolidating the 4 carriers into 2 new towers located across the freeway on stealth towers made to look like trees.

Going Above the Standard

As a full-service telecom design firm, LDC was able to be a single source for all engineering and development for our client. We worked with all the stakeholders to satisfy each ones needs to get this complicated multi-carrier design approved with the state and local jurisdictions as well as the tower owner and all carriers.
