LDC has been hired by the Kitsap Regional Coordinating Council (KRCC) to update the Kitsap Countywide Planning Policies. The Kitsap Countywide Planning Policies are the framework for consistent and collaborative growth management. These policies were updated in alignment to the Puget Sound Regional Council’s (PSRC) growth strategies, as well as a number of different regional organizations. The KRCC has requested that LDC assist with three main project goals: incorporate and tailor PSRC’s strategies into the updated Kitsap Countywide Planning Policies, support KRCC in writing and proposing policy changes and support in the ratification of the updated policies.

Going Above the Standard

This project requires LDC to provide timely coordination, deliverables, and meetings because of an extremely tight project timeframe. Regardless of the tight project timeframe, LDC takes considerable care in drafting policy changes, working with the above mentioned groups and producing proposed policy changes for public hearing on time. LDC’s experience with policy and code writing allowed them to work efficiently and productively.
