LDC designed and engineered the battery backup system for the installation of EV charging stations at the National Corvette Museum in Kentucky. We were also brought back to the project to provide the design and engineering for the sun canopy to help keep the chargers cool in the hot Kentucky summer. The National Corvette Museum showcases the Chevrolet Corvette, an American sports car that has been in production since 1953. The museum is located only a quarter mile from the Bowling Green Assembly Plant, where corvettes have been made since 1981. This is a prime example of bringing the electric vehicle into the combustion engine world as we continue to make it mainstream.

Going Above the Standard

Working within an established compound we were able to design the addition of the necessary equipment to align with limited space and with minor alterations to keep the lease area the same and keep construction costs down.
