Client
Verizon
Project Date
2016

This project included the design of a new telecommunications site within an agricultural zoned area in Bow, Washington. LDC engineered the design of a 100’ faux grain silo to conceal the telecommunications antennas, equipment, and generator. The design was engineered to hold up to 4 wireless carriers and equipment, including a generator. The custom designed silo was intended to match neighboring agricultural aesthetics with little to no evidence that it actually functioned as a telecommunication site.

LDC performed as the lead in planning, engineering, and design. This included survey, architectural, and civil engineering services over the course of 2016.

Going Above the Standard

LDC ensured that the architectural design for this facility would blend seamlessly with the fabric of the surrounding agricultural characteristics. These design intentions were conveyed to our team so that the concept could be conscious of these specifications while also meeting the needs of the client, landlord, and permitting jurisdiction.
